The Management Committee would like to thank our brothers and sisters who attended the Annual General Meeting on February 21 2009. The dialogue at this meeting was very positive and productive. 

At this meeting, the Managing Committee outlined the objectives for 2009 as listed below. Our community is blessed with talented resources who can help strengthen a foundation for our children and future generations. All men, women and youth are encouraged to answer this call to action to help foster unity and move forward in building a strong community. If you are interested in participating in ANY of the these projects, please notify a member of the management committee.

•     Update Constitution

–     Establishment of Constitution Sub-Committee

–     Draft completed by May 30, 2009

–     Review Period Conducted through July 15, 2009

–     Approval / Signoff targeted for July 30, 2009

•     Obtain Services of Resident Alim

–     Develop Budgetary Planning for General Body Approval

–     Identify Candidates

–     Define Roles and Responsibilities

•     Operations

–     Development of a Documented Maintenance Plan / Schedule 

–     Establish Standards for Procurement

–     Establish Records Management Guidelines / Retention Schedules (Required by Regulatory Bodies)

–     Implement Best Practice Tools / Technologies to Support Operations

–  Development of Membership / Community Database (Electronic)

–  Evaluate Membership Fees – General Body Approval
